Singapore is a small island that has seen much gentrification over the past ten years.  It is also one of Asia’s major financial centers with all the financial institutions having offices there.

They say the top of The Marina Bay Sands Hotel & Casino is the size of 3 football fields.  There are three superstructure towers that are joined together at the rooftop by the worlds largest cantilever platform and below is a 2,500 room hotel, casino and 1 million square foot shopping center.  They also boast to having an indoor skating rink. The properties first 25 floors are on a 51% angle.  Building this property was a huge engineering feat to say the least.

Cecconi’s, London

Cecconi’s is a very good Italian Restaurant and a great meeting place located in Mayfair by all the great shops. it is conveniently located right off New & Old Bond Streets, Saville Row and a few blocks from Regent Street.  It is the place to see and be seen.  It’s always bustling and has a great vibe. From the minute you walk in the hostess gives you a warm smile and takes your brelli and coat and sits you a table by the window or at the bar.  The bar is another great experience being greeted & served by the London’s best bartender’s.   It has old world charm and they really take care of you.

Antibe-Juan-les-Pins, Cape Ferrat, Eze, Cap d’Ail, Villefranche, Theoule-dur-Mer, Cannes, Nice are some of the names for the BEACHES you’ll be passing while you’re wearing your sunglasses with the top down in your rented convertible.

Just be careful you don’t run anyone over when you’re traveling through the small towns with families & children crossing while you are viewing the beautiful people & beaches. Otherwise, soak every minute of sun & beauty in….It doesn’t get better than this!

Casino de Monte Carlo was probably the high point to my trip in Monte Carlo. It was everything out of a James Bond movie and more.  Elegantly and beautifully styled in the belle epoch tradition, it almost appeared that no matter what time you arrived you should have been dressed in formal wear. The area outside of the casino is called a garden but by its size I would called it a small football field.

The majestic Hotel de Paris has been under renovation and they are adding much needed hotel rooms and the Cafe de Paris was fabulous both inside and out. Sitting at the outdoor Cafe one overlooks the grand fountain and has a birds eye view of the entire property.  The beauty was so breathtaking one would have thought they were looking at a post impressionist painting by Paul Cézanne.

In Sao Paolo, Brazil  there is a restaurant called Figueira Rubaiyat, which means “fig tree” in Portuguese.  The front of the restaurant has outdoor seating for 60 people.  In the middle there is  a fig tree that was 150 years old.

It is as tall as any oak tree in your neighborhood and three times the width of any tree you’ve ever witnessed.  Underneath the tree is a fine net which catches the figs before they hit you in the head.  They are known for their steaks.
