
Da-Va-Dee, is how the Italians pronounce David the famed marble sculpture that Michelangelo sculpted around 1501. It can be found at The Galleria dell’Accademia in Florence. It has been on display there since 1873. Standing in front of this statue is truly amazing and will leave you speechless. It is 16 feet tall. While there you will see Michelangelo’s “The Awakening Slaves” These are four sculptures he left in various stages of completion.
